Under Supervision of Dr. Mehdi Delrobaei
The Mechatronics Laboratory at K. N. Toosi University of Technology has been instrumental in shaping my research experience, following my participation in Neuromatch Academy. Here, I encountered serious academic research for the first time, learning invaluable skills such as literature review, data collection, and analysis.
With the guidance and supervision of Dr. Mehdi Delrobaei, the head of the lab, I am currently working on my B.Sc. thesis. The focus of my research is on Predicting Mind Wandering using SART test results and Video Processing, and I am actively engaged in preparing a paper based on this work, which will be published soon.

Collaborated with a team on a master’s project at Crouse Control Company, focusing on analyzing the National Household Travel Survey (NHTS) dataset. Our aim was to refine airbag performance prediction systems by evaluating sensor data from American car crashes. This involved detailed analysis of crash scenarios and sensor responses, contributing to the development of more accurate and effective airbag deployment algorithms.

Intertships & Summer Schools

  • Neuromatch Academy | Summer 2023

Explored the fundamentals of computational neuroscience by analyzing the Steinmetz dataset as part of an international pod of students. Collaboratively, we developed our thesis and project titled "Choice Certainty as a Predictor of Performance Accuracy," focusing on decoding neural signals to study how certainty in decision-making correlates with performance accuracy across various brain regions. This experience not only deepened my understanding of computational neuroscience but also taught me the methods and intricacies of the research process.
  • Fardiran Inc. | Summer 2022

As a Machine Learning and Image Processing Intern in the Research & Development department at Fard Iran Inc., I worked on the development of a car plate reader system. This role involved implementing advanced image processing algorithms and machine learning techniques to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of vehicle identification systems. I also worked with data installed from 72 different locations across the country, allowing me to optimize the system for a wide range of environmental conditions and regional variations.
